What Black Box is
Black Box is a privacy and network-protection tool for Android. It helps you control which apps reach the network on your device, using Android's local VPN system. It records protection activity locally so you can review it later.
What Black Box is not
Black Box is a privacy/security tool, not a guarantee. Using Black Box does not guarantee perfect protection against every kind of network or device threat. The protection it provides depends on Android system permissions, your device settings, and your phone manufacturer's behaviour. Like any privacy tool, it works alongside the protections built into Android itself.
You remain responsible for your device settings, your app permissions, how you install and use apps, and what you do with information the app surfaces to you.
Android system behaviour
Some features depend on Android system permissions, manufacturer behaviour, battery settings, or device policies set by your employer or device administrator. The app may behave differently on different Android versions and on different manufacturers' devices. Black Box cannot override Android's own decisions about background work, foreground services, or radio settings.
Changes to features
Black Box is under active development. Features may be added, adjusted, or removed over time. Where a change materially affects how the app handles your information, the change will be reflected in the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
Black Box is intended to help you understand and manage privacy on your own device. Do not use it to interfere with someone else's device or someone else's network, or to attempt anything unlawful.
Limits of liability
Black Box is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Black Box, its developers and contributors are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms removes any rights you have that cannot be removed under the laws of your jurisdiction.
