Data & Deletion

Black Box is designed to keep protection data locally on your device. Removing that data is straightforward — uninstall the app, or clear its storage from Android settings.

Where your Black Box data lives

Black Box stores its records in the app's private storage on your device — protection activity, local settings, and the onboarding state. The Google Play test build does not require a login, so there is no Black Box-controlled account that holds your data on a server.

Option 1 — Delete from inside the app

The fastest way is to use the in-app Privacy controls:

You can also use the Export my data control on the same screen to save a JSON copy first, if you'd like a record before deletion.

Option 2 — Clear app storage from Android

From the Android system settings:

Settings → Apps → Black Box → Storage → Clear data
Heads up. Clearing app data removes your local settings, your onboarding state, and your local protection history. The app will look like a fresh install the next time you open it.

Option 3 — Uninstall the app

Uninstalling Black Box removes the app and all of its local data from your device. On most Android phones:

Long-press the Black Box icon → App info / Uninstall

Or from the system settings:

Settings → Apps → Black Box → Uninstall

Future accounts and subscriptions

The current Google Play build does not include accounts or paid subscriptions. If those are added later, this page will be updated with account-deletion steps and, where applicable, the corresponding store-side cancellation steps for Google Play Billing or Apple In-App Purchase.
